Zdravé stravování - příprava pokrmů

For clarity we have split the questions into groups:

Questions about the customer account

How do I get into my customer account at Zdravé stravování (first login or forgotten password)?

In the top right corner of www.zdravestravovani.cz you will find the login under the My account tab. If you are logging in for the first time or have forgotten your password, fill in your e-mail (leave the password empty) and click the "Log in" button. We will send you a link to create or change the password.

What can I find in the customer account and what can I use it for?

In the customer account you will find your credit balance, an overview of orders and issued invoices with a note on whether they have been paid, and above all the current menus for the programs you have ordered, including the nutrition breakdown. Through the My details tab you can add a new phone contact, change the delivery address or send a change request (a change of billing address, for example). Please allow 3 working days for a change to take effect.

Through the My account web interface you can, on the day itself, track the approximate delivery time of your boxes and the account also shows the phone number of the driver on duty who is delivering the food (exceptions can happen during unexpected events such as a van breakdown).

Probably the most useful option for customers with a registered account is ordering the MENU program. You will find the online order form here, but you have to be a registered Zdravé stravování client already.

In the online form you see a clear list of dishes (with the relevant prices) for each day, and you simply tick the dishes you want to order. That saves you time on the phone with the customer centre and the long lists of courses typed into an e-mail.

Questions about the menu and what is in the meals

Who puts the menus together?

The menu for every program is put together by Mgr. Kateřina Šimková (Masaryk University, Faculty of Medicine, human nutrition) and her team of nutrition therapists.

Is box catering only for losing weight?

No. Besides the special weight loss programs, Zdravé stravování also prepares a balanced menu for long term eating, for everyone who wants to eat healthily and with variety and has no time or no wish to cook. We also offer meat free programs and programs for breastfeeding mothers. Box catering also works for people who are working from home at the moment or cannot leave the house. We deliver to seniors and to whole families too.

Does your menu really cover all nutritional needs? Do I have to take extra vitamins, minerals or food supplements?

The full day menu is put together to cover a person's energy needs and other nutritional requirements according to the chosen program (protein, carbohydrates, fat and so on). We recommend eating up to 400 g of fresh vegetables alongside the boxes. A healthy person needs no food supplements. If you have specific dietary requirements, for example because of your state of health, always discuss them with your doctor.

How do I choose the right energy level of the full day menu?

Use our calorie calculator. It follows the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, which takes into account not only sex, height, weight and age, but also a physical activity coefficient when it works out the total recommended energy intake. That makes the result more precise than the older Harris-Benedict equation. In our calorie calculator you also say whether you want to keep your weight, lose weight or build muscle. The calculator then recommends not only the right energy intake but also a suitable program from Zdravé stravování.

I am not sure I can eat only “healthy and diet” food, I have my favourite dishes!

Our customers have found that eating healthily does not mean living on sprouted grain and porridge oats. Balanced food can be varied and tasty at the same time. Visit the programs section (each one has a photo gallery of the dishes) and look at the weekly menu, so you know what to expect before you order. You can also order boxes for a trial week.

I do not trust diets and I worry about the yo-yo effect. Can it happen with the boxes?

The yo-yo effect comes from going hungry. On the box diet you are not hungry, you eat a reasonable and suitable amount of food all day. Choosing the right program matters too. If you are not sure which one, our operators and the nutrition team will help you choose.

While the boxes are coming, pay attention to portion size and to how the dishes are put together. When you decide to stop taking our box diet, that attention pays off, because you stay in the same eating pattern. The boxes show you a sensible portion size, how dishes are cooked and what goes into them, and you take that picture into your own cooking.

How often do dishes repeat?

We try to repeat dishes as little as possible over the year, or we make variations on the dishes that got the best response. Over the years we have built a database of more than 20,000 recipes. We regularly invite leading Czech and foreign chefs into our kitchen (J. Punčochář, M. Ihnačák, Z. Křížek, R. David and others), who train our cooks, inspire them and show them new trends.

Is your food fresh, or do you cook for several days at a time?

We cook in our kitchen every day and chill the finished meals straight away, so they hold their quality until delivery. We make the dishes from scratch: single herbs and spices and our own stocks. Pasta and bread come from suppliers.

What ingredients do you use?

In the vast majority of cases we use fresh ingredients. Only rarely do we use frozen ones (sea fish that is not available fresh here, or fruit and vegetables that are only in season for part of the year).

Do you offer a menu for diabetics?

Yes. We offer the FOR DIABETICS program with a price list by grams of carbohydrate, 150 to 300 g a day. Whether it suits you is a question for your doctor.

We can set a diabetic exception on the other programs too, arrange it with our nutrition therapists on 515 535 589. If you want to be sure what is in the food, choose it in the My selection program. We recommend going through your choice with our nutrition team and with your doctor.

There are foods I do not eat. Can you adjust the menu to my requirements?

Ingredient exceptions ended on 31 August 2026. Ingredients you do not eat are what the My selection program is for: you build the day's menu from individual dishes across the FOR HEALTH, MEAT-FREE, FIT + and PROTEIN + programs. Leaving something out for health reasons? Call 517 070 333 and we will go through it with you.

I watch my salt intake. How much salt is in your food?

We are glad to hear it. Most people are used to saltier tastes, because their usual food contains a lot of industrially made products with too much salt in them. Our dishes can therefore seem under seasoned, because we salt less. The recommended daily salt intake is 5 g, and an adult in the Czech Republic goes over that three times over. For scale: one teaspoon holds about 8 grams of salt.

If I choose a specific energy level, say 7000 kJ, but do not take the full day menu, will the combination I choose still add up to 7000 kJ?

No, only the full day menu carries the energy level you choose. If you pick the 7000 kJ level and only the breakfast, lunch and dinner combination, the energy level is cut in proportion by the value of the 2 snacks. That does not apply to the WE EAT 3 A DAY program, where the energy level is split between 3 meals a day.

Questions about delivery, distribution and packaging, and complaints

How is the food kept during delivery?

During delivery the food is kept in refrigerated vans.

How much does delivery cost?

You pay the price shown in our price list. Delivery of a multi item menu is included in the price of the food. The delivery charge for individual courses is shown in the price list of the program in question.

What time will you deliver? Can I choose a specific delivery time?

We deliver according to a delivery plan (each route can have a different schedule, ask the customer centre operator for the details). In some places we offer contactless delivery at night and also pick up points.

A specific (and fixed) delivery time unfortunately cannot be arranged, not even for a surcharge. To keep the price reasonable (and to be easier on the environment) we try to keep our vans driving as few kilometres as possible. That is why we sort customers onto routes by delivery address and cannot guarantee delivery at a time of the customer's choosing.

I know I will not be home at the usual time on a certain day. Can I change the delivery time?

Let an operator know in advance and you can agree on a change of address or on another option. What is possible depends on the driver (the number of stops on the route, the traffic, whether the van can come back to the address later and so on).

I need to cancel days I have already ordered and paid for. Is that possible?

Yes, of course, just tell us which days you need to cancel. Days you have already paid for we make up by delivering meals on other days, whenever suits you. Please let us know 3 working days ahead; after that the order for that day can no longer be changed.

How do the boxes with the food arrive packed?

Every dish is packed in a plastic box with a film lid (safe for microwave heating) and put into a carrier bag. If you would rather have the food in a paper bag instead of a plastic one, you can ask for that in the order (for a surcharge).

Can I return used disposable packaging?

No, details here

Can reusable packaging be used?

Unfortunately not. We cook for more than 4500 clients a day and it is not technically possible for us to sanitise reusable containers and get them back to their owners. The authorities tolerate that system in small kitchens, on condition that the customer brings a container that is filled on the spot.

Our packaging is fully recyclable and we pay fairly high fees into the EKO-KOM fund, which handles the recycling of most packaging in the Czech Republic.

Statistics say the average resident of the Czech Republic produces 400 kg of waste a year. If you eat with us, the trays, bags and bottles come to under 80 kg a year. On top of that, no food is wasted. Compared with the average we think that is not bad at all.

Do you cook on public holidays?

As a rule, if a holiday falls at the start or the end of the week (Friday or Monday) we do not cook. If it falls in the middle of the week, we do. In December we usually finish in the last week before Christmas Eve and start again in the second week of January.

In 2026 we do not cook on these days: 3 April, 6 April, 1 May, 8 May, 6 July, 28 September, and from 21 December 2026 to 1 January 2027. We cook on all other days. If you want to cancel food on a holiday when we do cook, remember to do it 3 working days ahead, thank you!

How do I make a complaint?

For all the care we put into cooking and delivery, something can still go wrong. Get in touch with us. The customer service team will sort it out to your satisfaction.

Because complaints are made at a distance, we need your help. For a complaint about the quality of the food or about the packaging we ask for a photograph (or photographs) documenting the problem. Please note that a complaint about content or quantity (a wrong combination of dishes, damaged packaging and so on) and about the taste or quality of the food can be made no later than on the day the food is eaten.

We take every complaint seriously. When a complaint is justified, besides compensating you we always try to find where the fault came from and to take steps that improve things.

Payment options

We want ordering healthy food to be as simple as possible for you. That is why we offer several convenient ways to pay for your order.

Once you send the order we process it and e-mail you an invoice. The “Pay on-line” button takes you to a page with the payment options. You will also find the payment  button in your customer account at moje.zdravestravovani.cz.

Card or on-line transfer (GP WebPay)

The most convenient and fastest way to pay. You can pay:

  • by Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard or Maestro card
  • with Google Pay or Apple Pay
  • or by instant transfer from your bank

The payment goes through at once and your order is activated straight away. This suits both quick orders and repeat payments.

Bank transfer

Do you prefer a classic transfer? Just send the amount to our account. Remember to give the variable symbol (the invoice number) so that the payment is matched correctly.

Bank details:
Zdravé stravování s.r.o.
Account number: 9907792/0800
Variable symbol: the invoice number

TIP: From your mobile banking app you can also scan the QR code straight from the invoice and pay without copying the payment details.

Pluxee (formerly Sodexo)

We accept cashless payments from the employee benefit e-wallet. You log in to the Pluxee Česká republika mobile app or use the Pluxee card (a Mastercard payment card).

Twisto

Twisto Pay lets you pay up to 30 days later, with no fees and no registration. Once you register a Twisto account, the term can be extended to 45 days.

Payment with benefits

We also support payments from benefit systems, Benefit Plus for example. On the payment page just choose the system you use.

Skip Pay, pay in up to 30 days

You can now also use deferred payment with Skip Pay. With Skip Pay you order the food now and pay up to 30 days after delivery, with no interest and no fees.

How it works:

  1. On the payment page in the basket you choose “Pay with Skip Pay”.
  2. Skip Pay pays for the order immediately.
  3. You pay the amount later, within 30 days, or spread it over instalments.

Gift voucher

Do you have a Zdravé stravování gift voucher? Just put the code into the “I have a discount code / voucher” field when you order and its value is deducted from the total automatically.

Tip: We recommend paying by card through GP WebPay, the order is confirmed at once and you can look forward to your food without needless waiting.

Questions about how to eat the food, extras and more

How do I reheat the food properly?

Pierce a few holes in the film and heat the box in the microwave. The time needed varies with the type of dish and the size of the portion. For even heating we recommend medium power (600 to 700 W) and a longer time. Take care when you open the film, steam can stay inside the box after heating.

Keep the boxes at 4 °C or below and eat them straight after opening. Anything that is not reheated, sachets for example, is marked on the label.

Some dishes are baked in silver aluminium trays, and those are fine for heating in the microwave too. Some microwaves need the tray to sit on a ceramic or glass plate so that it does not touch the metal inside the oven.

You can also heat the food without the film or on a plate. Note that food heated this way comes out drier.

Another way is a water bath. To keep the plastic from deforming or burning, the temperature must not go above 90 °C.

When should I eat the boxes?

At the same times every day, at regular intervals of about 3 hours. Have dinner no later than 3 hours before you go to sleep. Follow our ten diet rules.

Why do you not cook every program for the weekend too?

We do not want to overload our clients with box food. So we deliver on weekdays and at the weekend you can have whatever you fancy. It is worth keeping to the same pattern; you will find recipe ideas on our blog.

Can I eat other food alongside the diet?

If you take a full day program (that is 5 meals) and want to lose weight, you should not eat anything on top. The full day program covers a suitable energy intake and usually means a reasonable and healthy loss of weight. During the day you can top up with fresh vegetables (up to 400 g).

What can I drink on the diet? I cannot do without my coffee, what should I do?

Drink water without sugar or unsweetened fruit teas. Water flavoured with fresh orange or lemon juice works well too, about 3 litres a day. You do not have to give up coffee. Milk in coffee is fine, sugar we do not recommend. Do not drink alcohol, it is very high in calories!

Do I always have to order 5 meals a day? Can I order certain combinations instead?

The available combinations are listed with the individual programs.

Are the boxes only for losing weight, or can I eat them long term?

You can eat our food long term. It is healthy, balanced food. A quick look at the comparison table of programs gives you an overview. We are happy to help you choose the right one.
